MEET OUR TEAM
Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to work with young children. I started my child care journey in an infant classroom while I was still in high school. As I moved through my career, I wanted to experience different classroom ages to broaden my knowledge of young children. Over the years, working with infants through Kindergartners, I had advanced my knowledge and skills to a Center Director position. In August of 2018, after roughly 12 years in the field, I gave birth to my son and made the difficult decision to leave the field to stay home with him. During my time at home, I realized that as much as I loved being at home and watching my son grow, I needed to get back into the field. In May of 2019, I established A Brighter Future Learning Center LLC and started the journey of building my own child care. In my off time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading. I have a 11 year old daughter, 2 year old son, and a 1 year old son. We enjoy taking walks and running around with our 3 dogs.
I grew up always being around children as I am the oldest child of four. I began babysitting at a young age and I think that's when I first realized I wanted to work with children. In 1995 I made the decision to follow my heart. Almost 25 years later I still love what I do! During those years I have raised three of my own children and helped raise three step-children. Now that my children are young adults, I've been able to spend some free time on crafts and gardening.
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with children. Throughout my career I have everything from Special Education in the public school system to Child Care. When I'm not in the classroom or in the office, I enjoy spending time with my children.
I have worked in Early Childhood for several years before trying something new. After being in that field for a few years, I remembered why I went into Early Childhood in the first place. I love watching children develop into tiny people and helping them along the way. I am currently going to school for my associates in Special Education. I like to spend my free time with my children, a boy and a girl.
TODDLER ONE TEACHER
I have been working in child care for almost 2 years now and before that I was a nanny for 3-4 years. I have worked with all ages ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years. I am currently working towards obtaining my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Aside from teaching, I am also a cheerleading coach for the Manchester East Cobras for ages 9-14. Outside of teaching and coaching, I enjoy going to music festivals and binge watching Netflix.
TODDLER ONE TEACHER
I have been working in child care for over 15 years and absolutely love it! Watching children grow and being a part of the children's lives is what makes it all worth it. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. We love being outside and spending time with extended family.
TODDLER TWO TEACHER
I have been in this field for over a year now and absolutely love it. I am truly just a big kid at heart. I love goofing around with the children and getting to know all of their little quirks. In my spare time, I love doing anything that involves the outdoors. I like to go fishing, camping and kayaking. I really enjoy creating my own art. I am a big Harry Potter, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings fan!
Growing up in an in-home daycare and watching my mother care for young children has always inspired me to be a teacher. My earliest experiences working with children were babysitting and teaching in an Early Childhood Education class in high school. During my college years, I interned in different settings such as a Head-Start, Montessori, and a Charter School. Working in different classrooms gave me enough experience to realize that the preschool age group was my calling. I consider it an honor to be such a big part of a child's life, and love to watch their progress from the beginning to the end of the year. Aside from teaching, I enjoy painting and singing in a local choir.
I first started working in child care at an After School Program when I was 15. I started as a Junior Counselor and eventually worked my way up to a Site Director position. After graduating for High School, I spent a few semesters in College taking Early Childhood courses to become an Associate level teacher. Working with children is really where my passion lies. Having my son has also opened my eyes to a whole new love, appreciation, and patience for young children. When I am not working, I enjoy spending quality time with family, being at the beach, or traveling to new places.
BEFORE / AFTER SCHOOL TEACHER
SUMMER PROGRAM TEACHER
Ever since I was in Elementary School, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I have taught Kindergarten for about 3 years, the Before/After School program for 1 year and have run the Summer Program for many years. When I am not in the classroom, I love to read. One of my many favorite books is the Twilight series.
I have very recently (as of December 2020) finished my Masters Degree in teaching middle/secondary English. My goal is to be able to teach English Language Arts full-time in the public school system. Currently I balance my time between teaching at A Brighter Future and teaching at Bishop Brady High School. When I am not working, I really enjoy hiking, reading, and playing video games. I look forward to making wonderful memories with all of the children!
I am currently a student at NHTI working towards my degree in Health Science before transitioning into a Physical Therapy program. My goal is to specialize with children and their development. Making the choice to work in child care now, gives me an opportunity to do something I already enjoy and to start on my future journey working with kids.
